Analysis of mental health from open data databases

This article presents an overview of the issues related to mental health in Europe, based on open data. Our analysis uses data from various national and European health institutions, focusing on five countries: Italy, Spain, France, Germany, and England. By examining these cases, we aim to highlight common challenges and identify disparities. Before diving into an analysis for each country, we discuss:

  • The rise of costs and prevalence of mental health diseases across Europe
  • Mental health disparities among demographic cohorts
  • The mental health of young people, a central matter of concern
